Because this is a restaurant, efforts should be made to sufficiently hide the ducting from the patrons.  This includes leaving enough space in the ceiling for air ducts.  The roof had to be raised to allow for the desired height of the drop ceiling and to accommodate for the ducting within the ceiling.

The structural engineer must be aware that the A/C units are now located on the roof and should modify the structural system to account for this additional load.

The plumber must provide water to the A/C units on the roof.

Diffusers will be used in combination with the drop ceiling. Decorative diffusers are suggested but if they can be hidden from view it would be better.
